A very wet and boggy race, with wind on the top fell section from Fairsnape to Parlick, made for a tough race. The leaders seamed to skip over the boggy parts on the low farm sections early in the race. Then rapidly disappear into the low cloud on the steep climb. I on the other hand, felt like I was trudging through them. Still despite the tough ground and strong headwind on the high section, I managed to set a PB by 11 seconds. So a decent enough effort.
I finished 15th of 95, in 44.01. Sam Tosh won in 37.05, pushed all the way by Bowlands Chris Arther, who was a narrow 2nd.
